Tell me, just out of interest, how many horses living in that enviroment get lami ? It seems like a really natural enviroment compared to the 'lawns' that we provide for them and i am keen to know how yours cope health wise ?

auburnalia- uni is fantastic...only four more years to go ! It's pretty full on but I'm really enjoying the content & meeting some lovely people.

Lorraine, it's summer here atm, so everything is dry and brown, horses do get laminitis here but I have to admit it doens't seem to crop up even half as often as in the good old UK.

Gnasherboy- I know!! Time doens't wait around! I am thoroughly enjoying Australia, it did take a good 2 / 2.5 years to settle but I do feel very happy here. I miss the people and I miss being so close to everything in England and the history- the castles & Tudor houses etc etc...but not much else to be honest.

Marianne- thank you! maya had a good splash and a roll in there, I have it on video on my phone. She looooves it!

Thank you Mellymoo. They are very lucky to be there, it's a beautiful property- I'm very close to the owners, they are spoiled and so settled!

Big e- it was 35 degrees C that day...but this morning (it's 8:30am now) it's pretty grey, I don't thnk it'll get above 26dc- they sky is white

Arabmare, thank you, that is so sweet! Sonky is with a girl who adores him. I miss him every day- he is such a special little horse, if I could, I would bring him here in a heartbeat

Thank you poppy & bea unfortunately because of moving away etc, I didn't renew my membership with EA (Equestrian Australia- all affiliated sports are run through them, not individually like BSJA etc), so my competing has had to be put on hold I'm hoping we might be able to go to a couple of local shows but it would only be the smaller classes we do.

And SS3- just stop in a couple of countries on your way over and back!!! .........it wouldn't cost a fortune!!!!!!!!
