I'm desperately needing a new home for my 12 year old 15.2 welsh sec D.
With a young family and a full time job I do not have any time at all for him. This was not the plan when I bought him 2 years ago as a project - unfortunately life has got in the way and I haven't been able to do nearly as much as I wanted.
He is a project purely because his work has been on and off for nearly 5 years now and because of this he lacks confidence when is is taken away from other horses and out hacking. The most work he did was the summer before last when we had been getting on really well for 5-6 months. The good thing is he likes learning and will school well. The bad thing is because of lack of confidence due to lack of exposure he does not like going anywhere that he cant see other horses and will do his best to get back to them. He needs someone with IH experience to get him to where he is very capable of being.
I would consider full loan or sale - I just want to make sure he goes to the right person who understands what he needs and will work with him and not someone who is going to sell him on as soon as they can and he ends up going from home to home and labeled a 'bad' or 'dangerous' horse because of it.
What is making it worse at the moment is a barely have time to do the basics (stable chores etc) and he has been in 24/7 for over 3 weeks as the yard 'doesn't like the fields getting muddy'! luckily he doesn't seem too bad for it (as all the horses are in) but he is not going to get any younger!
If you or you know ANYONE that might be interested please get in touch.
