Shes a lot brighter in herself has projectile diareaha (sp? sorry) which is wonderful and is farting gruesome knock your socks off farts but she is obviously feeling better for it, the vet called and she is a little anaemic which is no surprise as she is so thin, because of her response to treatment he wants to check for worms on tues and hopefully that will be the cause, he feels although wormed rightly with me she most likely has a massive burden from the previous home that my wormers have failed to dislodge. Fingers crossed this is it as would solve 99% of her health issues in one xx

My Girl (tb mare)came to me as a hatrack, very sloppy poos, then scoured with redworm, caused by encysted redworm and poor previous care, thankfully i didnt have the colic problem, though she was very windy, not nice in an enclosed space, i found restricting her grass intake but letting her eat as much hay NOT haylage as she wanted firmed her up, did nothing for the weight though, that was recitified with Optigro and Build up over a long period, and Samoya still drinks gallons even now, lots of thoughts with you,

Sounds very likely to be encysted strongyles emerging, you need to worm with equest/pramox or 5-day panacur as nothing else touches them.

specialized the vet has advised if worm count comes back for anything then a panacur 5 day and a steroid injection to help the gut would be the course of action, she is looking tonnes brighter today.
Sharon I can get hay in if need be and she can have the bale to herself my straw supplier comes regularly and drops hay to my livery will definatly look into weight gain feeds for her, have to be a little careful due to the windsucking I try and avoid anything likely to make that worse xx
