Sounds like Charlie will be teaching a thing or two over The Bridge. RIP Charlie.
I'm so sorry Derek and family. Lots of happy memories to cherish. x

Aw, thanks everyone. I'm truly overwhelmed by the number of posts here ;D When i started to think about it, I realised that Charlie touched the lives of so many people while he was here. And those are only the ones that I know about! He even had his face rubbed by Monty one day! It wasn't a demo or a planned visit, just that one day a few years ago Kelly and Monty rolled up in a car at our old place over near Stow-on-the-Wold. They were actually hoping to visit a lady who had lived there previously and hadn't told Monty she'd moved. My wife, Jo, happened to be walking across the yard with Charlie in-hand as their car rolled up. I don't know who had the more astonished look on their face, lol! I also remember the time that Amanda described when he looked like he was about to check out. It wasn't the only time that Charlie had us worrying that he'd had it, only to make a miraculous recovery. I think he was part horse, part cat! He certainly made the most of all 9 lives. Jo has very kindly posted a few photographs of him in an album on our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.338616306167931.96123.113187728710791&type=1
