I can't say what's wrong, but I feel so insecure in this air flocked Wintec. It's as though the bar is in the wrong place or something. It fits the horse and he goes well in it, but yikes. I seem to be rocking back and forth with my leg swinging and I'm generally rooted to my horse.

I find most synthetic saddles awful to ride in. I used to have a Wintec Isabelle Werth flock which was ok but other than that one- not a pleasant experience riding in them generally. Not tried the air ones, but the combination of stiff material on air pads doesn't sound much fun to me.

I don't know.... it's certainly concrete on the "£$%"£$ even in a HM Seat Saver.

Too narrow for you in the seat? That's my gripe with wintec's and TG's, feel like I'm sitting on a fence.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but does the Wintec have a single air panel on either side with nothing to stop the air moving from one end of the panel to the other? If that is the case then if you are not centred in the seat you will rock from front to back as the air moves - bit like waves in the bath.

When you first get on, dip your heels in the stirrups and then wave each arm backwards slowly in a big circle and see if that helps you become deeper in the seat. ;D Or maybe you need stiffer stirrup leathers ;D

I've always felt quite secure in Wintecs and Thorowgoods, I personally prefer Thorowgoods over Wintecs. Perhaps it will just take some time to break it into you? What did you have before?

the new wintecs have a stirrup bar almost under the D staple, so seemingly infront of your knee! Unless you plan on going down any steep mountains, it is far far far too forward!

The twist is quite narrow... I'm not a massive woman, but it could be that as well as the sensation of the shifting air. I'll give it a few more rides. His canter was lovely in it.... for him anyway! Lol. It does feel like the stirrup bar is off.

I'm only a size 10 Kanga, but I just find winder saddles more comfy and secure (which is just as well as Talin does vaguely resemble a ping pong ball on legs ;D )

Have my eye on something. Wintec being launched onto local classifieds. Backside cramped after yesterday and I never ache after riding.

I borrowed a wintec to try on Jos, and it was the most uncomfy saddle I have ever sat on. He went fine in it, but I was crippled and it slipped horribly. Hope you get something sorted!
