I found this really interesting, I have two flea bitten greys, so assuming they live long enough they will turn white or have they already been white at an earlier stage of their lives? No, white is the end stage, they will not have been white yet. Flea bitten is a stage along the way to being white.

That horse will eventually grey out entirely.
Grey is a dominant gene, meaning that it only has to have one copy of the gene from one parent to end up greying out. It will always be expressed, although not always at birth. If the animal has two copies of the gene, (homozygous) then it will only ever produce grey offspring and will be grey itself. A grey horse must have a grey parent.
However if the animal is heterozygous, carrying a recessive copy of the gene then it can produce different coloured foals depending on what it is mated with.
A tell tale sign when a foal is born (as pictured in the above link) that it will grey out is that it will have grey "goggles" around its eyes. These markings are not always present but they're a sure fire way of telling that the animal will turn grey sooner or later. White markings can appear on any part of the horse and grow from there.

Thanks, as you can tell my colour knowledge is very limited, it seems odd that there are more coloured bits now than when I got my gelding though funnily enough with her winter coat my mare would be almost white if it wasn't for her twice daily mud wallow .
