Well Im very pleased to say that a team of pure bred Connemaras have won the quadrille at Olympia! They did Riverdance and showed all the horses how its done Quite a result for them, proves how versatile they are. Wonder if any other of the natives have ever managed it? Doubt it somehow!

I think it was last year that a team of New Forests won this. And a few years ago the winning team was made up of two Highlands and two Fells (they did 'teddy bears' picnic'!).
Well done to the Connemaras.

I was really pleased that the connes won but I felt it was a shame it was the junior team as I have always felt very strongly that RC is for adults. As a late starter in riding I left the local RC as I hated the fact that increasingly us nervous novices were being pushed out by very capable semi-professional riders and brave bold juniors. They have their own clubs, associations etc.
I know at one point 'alternative RCs' were being set up - its all ridiculous!
