Well after this vet bill comes, I will definately need to sell a kidney on ebay! I decided to have both front feet of Teddy's x-rayed before of all the abscesses.....and here they are. Two pics from the side and one taken front the front, sort of looking down through the hoof. Vet says they are normal but if anything the toes need to be shorter and more rolled. Not sure what the white bits are at the toe of each foot....vet didn't mention anything about that! I'm relieved its not boney problems, so now we are back to diet changes and environment. I'm learning loads but its hard going....hopefully after his minerals kick in and I have the analysis report back from the hay, we'll have a better idea.

Loving the x ray pics. Wonder if the white bits are debris caught up in the white line?

I wondered that, although vet didn't mention anything. I've emailed him to ask.

oo really interesting, i wonder if sarah will take a look, tbh id just send him to her , she can feed accordingly without you paying loads out and she trims ,and has the facilitys, i just think its the quickest and best chance ted will get and stop you faffing and spending lots of bits but lots of money,

Jen1 - I've sent the xray pics to Sarah and she's also requested more of his white line and abscess area. She says the xrays are fine...as did the vet apart from needing the toe shortened. Did you get my PM about sending me the feed plan? Thanks

i did im sorry, with loosing Billie, ect my heads been mush, and i cant find the file that its scanned onto , are the abscesses becoming less, could this be the toxins working there way out, they took 12 month with barney, so the next spring he went onto grass-; less turn out i stopped worming him , he had hay , mag, copper zinc sal mineral licks , so basically 3 month of starvation so global herbs restore, first month abscesses popping regular and they just got less and less and touch wood he hasn't had on since that was 4 years ago maybe! i just got tough with myself and him , thats what spurrred me onto putting dry turn out here,
