Finally..it had to happen at some point..
I've hit the deck...
Not off either of my girls, but friends 16hh maxi cob mare! Hurt my left hip and wrenched my right hip...coming down from that height HURTS, even when you do land on rubber!
Had a soak and am about to have my painkillers, I've updated about Fudge on the We've been naughty thread...

Yep its a long way down, and the perils of riding a large horse. I done similar a while ago. Arnica is good for bringing out bruises. Hope you get over this soon and the pain killers kick in quickly. If you still hurt in morning then get yourself checked out to be on the safe side.
Take care x Spirit of Wales

Last time I fell off (me and Gazdag nose-dived whilst jumping as he left a leg!) I thought I was just a bit bruised and sore, but went to get checked out anyway. As well as the cuts and bruises on my face, I had a rotated pelvis and two dislocated ribs, and that's from a 15hh horse onto a rubber surface wearing a body protector! It took several physio sessions over 2-3 weeks before I was right again. Get yourself checked out!!

It's always a shock, a bit like a car-crash... you suddenly realise you're really travelling.
