I have wintecs and thorogoods for my guys brilliant saddles and very comfy, initially I didn't want one due to the bad press they get but it fit my pony the best at the time so that was what we went with

I have the VSD and the close contact older style wintecs, I am really happy with them both. However, they fit Uva 'off the peg' with the medium gullet, I would be wary about changing the gullet to being the widest or the narrowest as the shape of the tree remains the same so am not sure how they would sit. That being said I know people that have with no problems so suppose it must be ok!
Am glad to hear of others that are happy with the wintecs as they get so much bad press I almost feel afraid to admit that is what I ride in!

I had a second hand wintec which was pretty comfy! I now havev a thowrogood, which is IMO more comfy, but it might be that the other one was not fitted to mee too as it came with the pony but TBH there wasn't that much difference. Both ponies love(d) their saddles and they are DEFINETLY much easier to clean, mine takes 5 mins roughly for a preffy good clean!

A have a wintec GP and an Albion dressage saddle. I use the wintec when its fowl weather and its comfy enough, however my daughter jumps my horse so she uses the wintec more.

I bought a Wintec for very little money off ebay to back Blue in and although we have bought him a leather show saddle we still use the Wintec for evry day use. I never ever thought I would use a synthetic saddle!
