Thanks for letting me watch - I picked up some great tips, definitely tempted to have an EE lesson myself soon.
The one thing that really struck me as I haven't watched you ride or work with Talin before was the AMAZING bond and communication between the 2 of you. I hope you are incredibly proud of yourself for everything you have achieved with him.
I will take laptop home tonight and get pics on tomorrow for you xx

Aw thanks Sarah In a funny sort of way I don't feel like I've achieved all that much because I'm still not really daring to let myself believe he's sorted yet, we've had so many false starts that I never quite know if another one is just around the corner. Something Rosie said to me last year always sticks in my mind with Talin - he's so clever and sensitive he has the potential to be an amazing ridden horse - but his intelligence and sensitivity will make it jolly hard work to get him there It's just so satisfying to have been able to have a lesson on him where I could trust him enough to make it an almost normal lesson!

;D We hacked out this morning and I tried to practice everything we did yesterday. I must have been doing something right as Talin seemed much more balanced going downhill. He did most of the turns just from my hips with an occasional reminder on the rein when he got distracted. Trying to keep my heel up and lower leg back is hard work, but my ankles didn't ache when we got back to the yard so that's an improvement! Brilliant, Michelle!! ;D Heather

Liz was really chuffed at your report too, Michelle. I am glad you felt that she pitched the lesson just right for you and Talin at this stage. Liz worked for me, as I think I told you, over 20 years ago, and came back to me to train on as an EE teacher many years later. She jumped to JA level on a far from easy pony herself as a teenager, so knows how you feel!!
