I have noticed that there seem to be quite a few people in or around the Gatwick area and wondered if any of you fancied meeting up?
Not necessarily (but could be) something big and arranged like a meal but even just coffee and chats or hacks if anyone is really local. Or to pop round to each others yards for a bit of help / company etc. Or share email addresses / mobile numbers. Car share to demos etc etc
I have lovely girls on my yard but I am the only one barefoot / soaked hay / no carrots or apples and I am the only one having EE lessons and even these I'm not having that often due to time / money constraints ( part of the reason I'm looking for a sharer too)
I keep my mare in Merstham near Redhill but work in Crawley.
Sometimes I feel a bit alone on the young horse, barefoot etc trip and would love a few more horsey like minded friends so if you are interested then great!

Hi Bonniesmum, I am about as far South sussex as you can get, but yes, there are lots of us. I see those folk down Devon and Somerset are having another get together ( how much gossiping can one group do ?!?! ) lol Perhaps we can arrange something for a christmas coffee or meal maybe so that we can all meet each other ? Kayfee is close to me and i know Zoe RA likes to say hello when she is our way. Michelle P is not far away and hopefully the others will reply to the thread ? Look forward to maybe meeting you x

Yep, I'd definitely be up for meeting up, coffee sounds good as it might be easier for more people to fit in to busy lives. Bonniesmum, you're very welcome to come over and have a cuppa with us at our yard and meet Talin

What a great idea! Im Crawley area - so more than happy to meet up and keep in regular contact. Im about to move yards and know no one, so would really appreciate a friend especially as we sound very similiar in terms of where we are - young horses, barefoot, EE lessons ;D

I think it would be a great idea to meet up. I've got young, unshod ponies, and older ones too. I'd be happy to sort out a time/date/place if people want to pm me what and where suits them best. Ps. Must do date for your dairy:- Monty demo at the Royal Leisure Centre in Henfield on 17th February next year! Be great to meet up before then so we all know each other. I wonder if they'd like to use Tor as the starter, he'll be 3 next year!!!

Hi All,
I live in Haywards Heath and share some hairy ponies in Horsted Keynes with a fellow IH'er.
Maybe if Rosie Jones or Jim Goddard are doing some kind of demo or talk, we could all arrange to go together? Will keep an eye out for any Two-day Practical Skills Clinics - v. interested.

Well so far I make that 9 people interested in meeting up.
A play day with Rosie sounds absolutely fabulous. What sort of thing had you in mind Rosie? You'd all be very welcome to come and play with my boys! (Still can't longrein Sky).
What do people want to do, playday, evening meal/drink, coffee?

I'm up for a coffee or meal meet. Evening or weekend. I can thoroughly recommend the Starbucks in Hooley on the A23 for meeting in but may be too far North for some of you.
I'm always up for great pub recommendations.
If anyone is on or neat Merstham, Chaldon, Coulsdon and fancies meeting up for a hack the I'd be really happy to do that.
Michelle, I'd love to come along and meet Talin :-).
I don't know what others feel about riding each others horses but I'm open to that too. Sometimes it's difficult to see your own horse's progress and it's nice to have a reference point or another opinion.

Hi bonniesmum, I'm afraid Hooley is a bit too far north for me, and probably Lorraine. Can anyone recommend somewhere around the Crawley area that's quick and easy to get to, for an evening get together?

I've only had one pm about a meet up. Somebody else can organise it if you like, I don't mind, but come on Sussex/Surrey, let's have a get together. Other areas manage it, why can't we? Are we all too busy?

Not now Pete has moved - organising and worrying about that was taking up a lot of my time ;D Did I ever reply your PM, I cant remember?! I would certainly up for a visit - the next two Saturdays are tricky, but can do Sundays (bar the 18th when Im at Olympia) but otherwise weekends are usually fine for me ETA - I mean I have time now he has moved!
