I've helped out at a few rda groups, not any near to hampton court though but they have all been fab. Depends on what they need you to do but I have done yard work, leading and instructing. Most groups will be happy to take any help for most things and I have had a fair bit of training through them too.
I just put in a postcode local to hampton court and it brought up a few groups I have worked at. I've helped out at the diamond centre which is easily the best one I have ever been to. They are amazing there! I've also helped out at wormwood scrubs but only on a couple of days when I went to help from my workplace. I have worked at Deen City Farm and while they used to be a very good rda yard they now have a new manager who seems to be quite reluctant to do rda. I worked there twice with a few years in between and went back to find an rda client that I used to teach who had been off the lead rein for a while in walk and trot. She was back on teh lead rein and not being allowed to do much at all. It was quite sad.
If you can get to the Diamond Centre they are amazing! They will train you and have many different roles from yard work, leading to working in the cafe.

A loooong loooong time ago when I was at school we had to do social voluntary work on a Wednesday afternoon and my friend and I helped out at the Horse Rangers Association at Hampton Court. Just had a quick look on their website and they are looking for volunteers to help with Riding Sessions for Children and Adults with Special Needs. I loved every minute of it - really reawarding. We groomed, tacked up, led, played games - usual pony club type stuff. Various levels of volunteers, some knew pretty much nothing about horses when they started. Website is: www.horserangers.com/I'd definitely say give it a go and see.
