I too would be interested in articles about working without a round pen/school, and perhaps ideas for planning training sessions using long lining, perhaps some examples of training plans which could be adapted to suit your own horse.
Would also be interested in the idea about articles involving those of us who are fairly novice when it comes to horse ownership. I think stories about issues we have worked through with our horses/ponies could be inspirational to others who may be, at times, struggling with their equine friends.
A regular 'money saving spot' would be useful, especially in this climate. Could include home made remedies such as fly repellant, ways to cut costs for things like jumps/rugs/tack.

You know what Kelly. I think you should get an article in 'other horse magazines'. Something to get over to people to ignore peer pressure, pomp and ceromony, and to just really enjoy their equines. So they learn they dont need to spend a lot of money on 'would likes'. Also that horses are real live animals and not a fashion accessory. I think that people who recieve the listening post understand this though.

I'd like gain more knowledge on how to 'manage and develop independance' with regard to seperation anxiety too! Lots of horse owners are only able to support two horses max and that pair bonding can sometimes be very strong. I'd also love to learn more about laying the foundations with regard to 'grounding' youngsters and enabling them to learn most effectively so that their future is as secure and bright as it could possibly be! Plus, what should we expect (apart from the unexpected! ) at shows etc. What can we do to prepare? How much is too much? What is 'just what foals do' and what behaviour is concerning? Oh.....the possibilities are endless! LOL

I 'd like to see articles on real life problems and how you've helped them or an ra how they've helped horses in different areas around the regions and to show people how helpfull having an ra is as sometimes the hardest thing is to actually ask for help.

Schooling plans and an article about building trust with your horse without a round pen would be fab!

An article about the pros and cons of lunging I know there is a bit about introducing an RA, but it would be good to feature a "new" RA that no-one has heard of, and including the RA list and contact details at the back of the magazine.
