Cor Blimey - 1932 that was made! Gorgeous horses. After the thread on leading, it was interesting to see how the grey stallion was bent pretty well all the time, yet most of the others seemed to be moving straight & not on tight reins. Wouldn't have noticed before!

Thanks for posting. So enjoyable to watch. Haven't Arabs changed shape since then? Loved the leading out across the field bit and the clothes the people wore but my favourite bit must be the lady going flat out around the field. x

That is fantastic - thank you so much for sharing it. My beloved Arab is almost 25 years old and he is 98% Crabbet. He looks very similar in shape. (I'm sorry, I don't know how to post pics properly) www.flickr.com/photos/horseysez/5126050229/

lovely horse Oberon. Mine is almost 26 and I think has Crabbet and would love to know. How would I tell what percentage of Crabbet he is? If any arab peeps on here he is www.allbreedpedigree.com/sun+fariamazing style of riding on the pathe video.

lovely breeding, both of you. I have a 97% mare and her son by a Crabbet/Russian Stallion. She is a litte closely bred, so I went out a bit, still looking for quality of bone and power. Az has 3 lines back to Count Dorsaz in his pedigree, not too far back. I love these bloodlines.

What a lovely piece of film! I also loved the woman riding in the field at the end, especially. Beautiful horses, Arabs. Out of curiosity, my I ask what sort of weight limit they might carry? Thanks.

Wow, what a brilliant film. I did wince however as each of the grooms / handlers starting running into the field with each of them ! I was sitting here thinking " OMG ... better slow down otherwise you'll be sking along behind them " Oh to run with your horse with all its buddies in a 20 acre field and have it remember that you cannot run quite as fast as an Arab !!!
Modified to change Winch to wince !!!!!!! ( I probably did both )

I don't have the answer but my arab, ( sun fari) about 14-14.1 and relatively small has been ridden from breaking until age 26 by my OH. He is around 6 foot tall and pretty thin. When the saddle is added I guess it must be around 12.5 stone. The horse has carried him very very easily over many tens of thousands of miles. (usually faster than he had in mind! )
did anyone had any views on the style of riding which was definitly more farmers hunt style seat rather than classical. If someone posted a video on here riding like that we would condemn then and send them on a classical course yet the horse and rider looked to be going well. Just interested.

There was a lovely lady on Arabian Lines a few years ago (before I was banned ;D) who would work it out for you. My Obi shares some ancestors with you ;D www.allbreedpedigree.com/oberon24
