Hi All,
I was wondering if you could give me some advice about my mare, well, the hunt came round the house today, and Milly was in the stable, getting all excited and whinnying to the horses as they went past, but I noticed she was shaking at the time and she still is now. The hunt finished a while ago now and she is still shaking I am not sure if this is fright or excitement. I am a little worried as she had a haynet in there which she hasn't touched, and if the hunt weren't around it would be gone!!
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks for reading

Bless her! It was probably the excitement of it all. When the Hunt used to gather in our village, all the horses would go mental. Can you take her out for a little walk somewhere, or turn her out for half an hour? Perhaps a bit of a hoon about might calm her?

I would think it is adrenaline in her system (fear or excitement, flight or fight, who knows) , it takes a fair while to settle back to resting levels but she should be pretty normal again by morning.
