Hullo , I can confirm the Leicestershire date.
May 28th in Barrow Upon Soar.
Sunday 9.30am until 4.30pm.
Prices as before. There is no limt on the Chiropratic lecture/demonstration but there are only a certain number of places for the Massage workshop skills. Bookings are now being taken! I am contacting the press next week - so you are hearing ahead of the game here! Booking your place is by posting a cheque with your address details to: Alex Jakob-Whitworth Mid Green Farm, Milburn, Penrith, Cumbria, CA10 1TN (so I can post back directions etc) Sorry - we can't have other horses on site at this workshop - although this may be possible at future workshops. Feel free to ask any questions.

Hi Sulasmum - will pencil you in - the place will be confirmed on payment. Caspar - I'm really sorry - I usually do have horses brought but Peter has asked specifically - so not this time. I am down for a couple of days - so I could come out to you as well if you'd like - anyway - you'll be able to go and practice on him wont you!!

Hi, I was just wondering start times and duration and what level of knowledge the demo will be aimed at. Can you just turn up on the day or do i need to book? I am keen to get a chiropractor to my horses but i want to find out more about it first so i thought this demo would be perfect. Is it suitable for people with little prior knowledge on the subject or is i aimed at the more experienced?

Hi Tillymint, Start time is 9.30, finish 4.30 Chiropractic demo/talk will probably start at around 10am. Level of knowledge - tricky one this - Dr Anna Hindley aims to differing leels of knowledge - this workshop is aimed at ordinary horseowners who want to know more about massage and chiropratic - and eququiringmind is what is needed most! You do need to book in advance - details on this thread. Hope that answers your questions! But feel free to ask nore.

Hi All I aim to make the demo to be just that - although I cannot actually treat in front of an audience (due to insurance exclusion), so I just be showing how I would go about treating and assessing a horse. As for the talk, I can be fairly audience led. What I want to get across, hopefully with some volunteers and demos on people, is just how much the spinal function can effect everything else. I'll also do a bit of basic anatomy of the spine, and a little about how it moves. I am hoping to have some horse vertebrae by then too, so you can see how huge they are and what they look like. I will explain what I am aiming to do with my treatment and try and show you the reasoning behind it - so you can judge in the future if someone is really thinking about what they are doing before treating your horse. I will be avoiding medical terminology and I won't be rattling off the name, origin and insertion of every muscle in the body (I have long since forgotten them all!). I will warn everyone ahead of time that I am a chiro, not a lecturer - I do get a bit nervous speaking in public but I will promise I'll do my best! I can answer some questions about problems your horses may be having, but obviously, it will be general answers without the horses being there to see. I will be providing a booklet to take home with lots of background info on chiropractic. If you want to get some more details about chiropractic, please have a look at my website www.equilibriumchiropractic.co.ukLook forward to seeing you there! Anna
