I didn't want to put this on "general" as they announce more snow for the UK .... I've groomed some of my horses over the last couple days. An unusual event in itself (haha) - but have needed to either ride or put rugs on. These two are definitely moulting ............ has anyone else noticed this? If winter's over early it can only be good news. Maybe I'm getting really cranky as I get older but I can't remember this much darned rain EVER!

hi there Marianne!
yes, my fjord cross has also just started moulting these past few days, but my TB cross is showing no signs at all just yet (but his coat is much much thinner)...
i really do hope this means good weather is on its way! i am just so tired of all the mud!

Hi. Yes, my two have started moulting too. They were looking a bit on the straggly side so decided to spruce them up yesterday and was amazed at how much came out in the brush. Spring flowers are coming out too. I had had similar misgivings as Marianne re posting on the main site due to the weather. To be honest, its been pretty dry here, apart from some snow over christmas/new year, so no mud (yet!!!!). (I just know I'll regret saying that............) ally

Don't want to be the voice of Doom and Gloom (going ahead anyway!) but Jan/Feb 2008 my PBA lost most of his winter coat in some early spring weather only for the freezing rain to return in March. That's the only time I've ever had to rug him....so don't count your chickens. ;D

Is it just me or did anyone else get snow today..... Freezing fog, ice and other nasties forecast for tomorrow morning - what joy.
