You are welcome to borrow Sophie's Dr Cooks bitless to try on Flynn if you like Kanga! Of course not all horses or riders like them. I'm no help at all with bits I'm afraid.

Meg was no different in a hanging cheek myler to any other bit. Not yet found our elusive perfect bit...7 yrs and still trying! I know of many that have gone very well in one though.

In Ireland! Fat chance! Saddle fitters are unheard of... sigh. Try contacting Elaine Sutcliffe at White Rose Equestrian. If you can get a few people together she may well come over and do a bitting clinic for you. I had her up to Lincolnshire to give a clinic and the horses used certainly went better in the Mylers. So much more relaxed and responsive.

I changed zac from a normal snaffle to the mb02 myler snaffle and he doesn't lean anywhere near as bad as he used to, only does a bit now when he is coming back into fitness xx

IMO Mylers are worth the money, I do sell and do trials on mylers, after having such sucess personally with them. But there only worth it, if you find the right one for both rider and horse. Thats why I do 21day trials, so theres enough time, to allow the horse to settle, and often compete, to really try the bit out before committing

do you have reason to believe that the bit currently in use is not the best ?

I now use a Myler comfort snaffle on my Welsh cob who pulled in an eggbut snaffle and overbent in a Kimblewick. He responds well, opens his mouth to accept the bit and lightly salivates when being schooled. Bought the bit in consultation with an RA and full discussion with Heather from the Bit Bank.
