Eliazabeth Arden 8 hour cream is fantastic. I bought some EA stuff as presents last Christmas and got a free goody bag with a trial size tube of the 8 hour cream, I have used it nearly every day since then and have still got some left. It's much better than any lipbalm.

Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream. It's amazing, they do a lipstick balm too but the cream is fab and lasts for ever. I'm still on my tube from last november. I treated myself to it with my boots advantage card points and am so glad i did. i've not had chapped lips since i got it and used to suffer really badly with them.

I use Lipsyl or a Nivea lip salve. I have one: by my bed, in my handbag, in the car, in the kitchen, in the sitting room! Use the one in the car the most.

I have terrible trouble with chapped lips, esp in the winter ( compounded by a bad habit of picking at them ) have lip salves in pretty much every room - can't tell you how many have gone through the wash machine over the years. My vote is for Burts beeswax, and carmex.

I use lip balm all year round, constantly, never met anyone else who does so would be very interested in meeting anyone else who does! Have done for years, my lips just feel weird and they get sore and dry feeling ? I usually use chapstick (cheap from the chemist) and probably apply every hour or so. Something I've found that is lovely is Aloe Lips - but the effect doesn't last very long. Burts bees is lovely too. I apparantly have the symptoms of a smoker/drug addict with my lip balm never without it - ever. panic if I don't have it or lose it and immediately desperatly need it. It's really weird but I'm used to it now (just reapplied this second!) xxx I've never met anyone else who soes this! I literally can't go anywhere without one, and I tend to keep spares at work, in my car, in my grooming box....I also get panicky if I find myself without one. Know what you mean about the dry, sore feeling.....mine are like that permanently! As a joke one year, my Mum bought me about 50 lypsils for Xmas! lol She said she felt very stupd buying them all, and got some funny looks!

I use nivea chap stick during the day, and slap on vaseline at night when it's really bad... leave my lips really soft and moveable... so far no splits this winter..... Blistex doesnt work for me.. if anything makes it worse

Not read all of these but beware of any pertrolium based products, ie vaseline, lipsyl etc etc . Go for wax based products or if you are veggy caranuga or similar wax based products. Mineral petroleum based product while soothing initially are "addictive " for your skin because the petrolium will work in reverse osmosis if the surroundings are dry.ie suck the moisture OUT of your lips. Waxes form a protective layer and if the product has other useful and restorive ingredients in will give them a chance to do their work.
I have EXTREMELY sensitised and sensitive skin , so I make my own products, I do sell it if anyone wants some but not organised enough to be doing business seriously at the moment only with the hoof gunk - sorry

I get a crack which nothing heals but Zovirax or its generic clones. \tried anything else, but put acyclovir on five times a day and it's gone in 48 hours. If all else fails try this, and put it just on cracks. Had this advice from Dr.
