in great missenden, gosh I used to live in the Lee, whereabouts do you keep your horses? close to gt missenden? or?
Would be a great idea to have a hook up in a pub and just get together, maybe we could come up with some fun horsie ideas too then ...

Just to add...I would love to build up a bit more of a network with some likem inded people...as I am on my own with my horses it would be great to know a few more likeminded people in my area... also there are quite a lot of things I would like to try with my horse...like side saddle riding, working equitation etc...and if we are more that want to try maybe we could even get together and arrange for clinics or demonstrations.

LL - I have been at a fair few yards in the area and worked at a few too!! I am currently keeping my boy at a small yard in Holmer Green/Great Kingshill... Where did you used to keep yours? I also feel the same as you about meeting likeminded people and doing some more horsie related stuff!! Lets do this!! ;D

ninabluefrank - sorry no, it's a certain Mr Orange, and Mr General in my picture....
ooo how exciting... through this site I now have a fabulous riding buddy, who I've been riding with for three years now and we're joined at the hip - BlueAli - incase anyone rembers her?? We don't keep our horses together, but I go and pick her up and we have weekly riding adventures around the country, and go to our western doo's together... today we rode over at Ruscombe - had the most amazing ride as we normally do - I so live for riding adventures!

Jen, love the names of your boys. Sorry Mr General looks like a horse called Rosie who is kept at Pix Farm in Bourne End - thought it was her.
I remember BlueAli - she sent me a PM ages ago about her riding holidays.
Hope to meet up soon :-)

Haven't been on this forum for ages (something to do with an extremely hectic work schedule) but I live in Bourne End too - about 100 metres away from Jen, although I keep my 5 horses in Beaconsfield, 4 miles away. I definitely think we should all get together, I'm up for it. Happy to go to the Stag at Flackwell Heath although, even though I've lived here for about the same length of time as Jen, I've never actually been to that particular pub. Ninabluewith frank - I think you might be thinking of the Bourne End near to Hemel and not the Bourne End where Jen and I live, which is between Wycombe and Maidenhead (because I've never heard of a place called Pix Farm) ?? Still, even Hemel's not actually that far away - so please do join us. So, are we going to go for a weekend or a weekday? Nich who also comes on this forum is also not far away at all (I won't say where without permission) and she and her hubby are lovely people. Can we invite them as well? Sam

And a lovely Ardennes that is you have there Jen! I'm in Bucks week beginning 7th December, in Bourne End, so if there's a meet up that week I'll see if Simon and I can join you for a while!

Right, so Mollymoo would prefer a weekend and Sue is in the area w/c 7th. So I'm going to take the plunge and suggest evening of Friday 11th (assuming that Sue is staying the full week and won't be dashing home on the Friday evening). How does that sound?
