Bransby Home of Rest for Horses arranged for some Community Support Officers to get some hands on training done with horses. This will help when the police are called out to horses that have escaped and are on the roads. We started of with three non horsey people who didn't know one end of a headcollar from the other, and ended up with them being able to catch and lead not only a very laid back coloured cob, but also a rather more wary TB X. The officers involved said they got a lot out of the morning and are now more confident of being able to handle a situation where horses are involved, to get them to safety. There is a possibility this may be opened up to some of the full time police in the Lincolnshire force news.bbc.co.uk/local/lincolnshire/low/people_and_places/newsid_8511000/8511377.stm
