I've just got the news that I'm riding a pony called Jock owned by Julia Izzard at Royal Windsor next Saturday - but I haven't any contact details! I can't wait to meet them! If anyone knows how I might get hold of them (or wants to let them know to contact me) that would be great! Kelly x

Have sent her a message on Facebook with your email address - and told her you are very excited to be riding a fantastic horse like Jock!

I wonder if she's related to 'Eddie'? I'm sure Jock will be super. Good luck. Mta... Do you know who's riding Pie yet?

Thanks for this. Mandal - Pie wasn't 'on the list' as it were - I think it's just established TREC horses not connected with riders. Julia has been in touch and given me the complete rundown on Jock - he sounds a real character! Unfortunately she's away this weekend and works very long hours during the week so I probably won't get to meet them together till 'the day' - all very exciting though!

Spoken to Julia on the phone and got full details on how he needs to be ridden. Sounds like Folly on the course - you know the mare who you mustn't know you're a student or she totally dismisses you? I just need someone to go ahead to tell Jock I'm frightfully important and it'll all be fine.
Bit concerned to see they are marking on 'Style' this year. Guess I might have to do a bit of shopping in the Gucci and Hermes stands before I start?! Luckily the showing manager is bound to be around as Royal Windsor is such a society event and she can check Jock's makeup doesn't clash with mine ;D

'Style'?? Trec people regard smart as having a hat silk, numnah, bridle, boots and a saddle bag in matching colours It's important in trec, that if you're going to lose, you lose in style And....it's very cool to having co-ordinating Hi Viz They are well known in trec so you have definitely drawn a nice experienced one. Have a fab time - can we have another video this year please??? Last years was lovely x x x

I saw Julia at the weekend at the Petersfield Trec. She was there with her young mare Libby who behaved impeccably for her first competition.
Julia and I have had a very successful Trec pairs partnership over the past 3 years culminating in wins at Level 1&2 League in 2007, Scottish Championships win, Welsh Championships win and GB Championships win in 2008 at Level 2. We also went on to win the Level 3&4 League in 2008. We had a couple of wins last year before Julia concentrated on bringing her youngster on and I moved on to Level 4 as an individual.
Jock is fab and a real character and has been consistent throughout all our competitions. Kelly will have a great time and has an excellent chance of wining again.
I will also be there with my horse Becks (who was second last year with Richard Waygood). Julia and I have competed against each other in the Kelly Marks Indoor Trec competitions with results always being very close!
Becks is being ridden this time by showjumper Tim Gredley. It looks as if he won't be doing his homework like Kelly has.
Looking forward to it and seeing Kelly again.

Sounds like a brilliant ride for Kelly; and the owner will have no qualms about the rider! Should be a solid partnership. Not sure if it is very important, but also good that it is another gelding, I think. Welcome Clare, it's great to get some background. We all want 'our Kelly' to do well and fly the IH flag :-)
