The total amount raised at Jen’s Northern Barn Boogie has now been calculated.
As the idea originated in the appeal for SWHP, it was decided that they would continue to benefit, though the event actually took place after that appeal closed. So a further cheque is being sent for £330.00 (the ticket proceeds from the DG had already been sent to SWHP). The GRAND total raised at Jen’s Boogie was £540.00.
So, thankyou to Jen1 for hosting the event and the following DGrs who attended and made the evening so memorable ………Alia, Caustic, Diane with Pie & Jubilee, Flossie with Mum & little sister, Gordo, Gwenoakes with Terry, Gypsycob with “poor Michael”, KAS, Mandal, Sandalfarm, Stan Diane’s OH, Stella, Sulasmum, WendyM, Yann,
Huge thanks to Jen’s OH Paul, not just for his hard work in setting it all up, but for inviting virtual friends into their home, Jen’s lovely boys for accepting us all, her friends and neighbours for boosting the amount.
There has to be a special mention to the people who also joined in to help Jen out: Gordo (for cleaning Jen’s house), Gypsycob (for travelling miles to sweep out the barn), Gwenoakes and Terry for chopping the veg and for generously donating so much horsey stuff for the raffle.
Jen decided not to run the horsey raffle but instead sold items to include in the total for SWHP. There are remaining items for sale and the proceeds will now go to EMW so please look out for what is still available for sale.
Another special thankyou to the DGrs who couldn’t make it but were generous in their appreciation of Jen’s efforts, SS3, Tika and Gem – you are all stars!
Thankyou also to the DGrs who enjoyed the night so much that they made a donation after the event!
There were too many special highlights to mention that evening but I think it’s fair to say that a good time was had by all, cyber friends met and long lasting friendships were forged - all whilst raising money to help equines in need.
Oh and if anyone needs to know the real gossip, it’ll cost you heavily or you could just buy a ticket for the Southern Boogie on 10 March in Maidstone where, no doubt, repeat performances can be seen.
