Hi all, I am offering for auction a Supavest body protector, size medium/large. It doesn't fit my bulk , so I think it should go to a good home. It will suit men or women, and is in mint condition. It also comes with a spare canister of air. You can have a look at them at www.supavest.co.ukPostage will be £10 - please add this to your bid. Auction closes on 22nd August at midnight. Please bid for this, it retails at £300, and has not been used.

What an absoutely fantastic prize Mellymoo. I had to have the XL one, they are quite "snug". But I think they are the best body protectors out, as they protect your neck as well as your coccyx which no other body protectors do. I would promote this on the General Horse Chat site as well.
If the bids aren't high enough, could you not return it to swop for a larger size one?

I don't mind what it goes for, as long as someone gets the use of it! I have had it for ages thinking I would slim into it, but I don't think that'll happen!

Hi, would love it but after some thought, reckon it'll be too big for me as I'm a small size 10. Sorry!

I'll bid £35. After my friend's recent horrendous fall if I win I am going to give it to her.

Oh, there's a bit of confusion here as the opening post said it would close at midnight on the 22nd! Didn't see that the date had been changed... I would still like this, and will pay the £40. Not trying to be awkward, genuinely believed it finished on Friday night!

Hi Guys, yup the auction did say orginally that the closing date was 22nd so I think we should stick with that as people often only read the first post Obviously a bit of confusion but I think thats the fairest thing to do... Hope thats ok with everyone. Mellymoo thank you for such a FAB auction!!! Can you please advise Casper if you would like to be paid or if the money should be paid direct to the fund!! Thank you everyone for such a FAB and generous auction for EMW your all stars!!!

No problems casper, I am a new member and only just registered and hadn't even seen the auction as of Friday night, just saw it said the 23rd (which was the day I was logged on) and put a bid in for it. Didn't think to check the date on the original post- oops.
Not even sure it would have fitted me, or whether I needed one, so hoping your friend will like it, and sounds like she might need it even if just for her confidence after a nasty fall.
Good luck.

Oh thanks very much RedHotChestnut. Felt really awful about raising this as a query to be honest, am relieved I haven't upset anybody!
My friend had a dreadful fall, fractured pelvis, hairline fracture on her coccyx - and it all happened at walk in a little paddock outside her school. We are going to get her riding our confidence giver Clover first off before she gets back on her own lad. But that will be some time away yet... At the moment she says her confidence isn't dented, as initially her horse reared up and somehow clonked her hard, so she thinks she was dazed and can't remember what happened next. Her hubby and one of her friends at the yard saw the whole thing though, can't have been nice for them to watch...
I have got one of these myself, and will be ensuring I wear it when riding my big lad, after what happened to Chez.
Thank you again - and welcome to the DG board. Hope to "chat" with you soon.
