I would like to take part, in some capacity...I seem to be the only person in Cornwall so far...I am 30 miles from Lands End , so if its a relay I could help with the start!! Not so far to box to

but as a reality tv thing, now THERES an idea ;D ;D ;D ... just think of the royalties rolling in ...... horse and country's equivelant of big bro. They can film the horses munching hay at night .... miles better then assorted bods snoring in their pits

Laura, get hold of Lizzee and sort out some routes. A big event like this will need police and ambulance services notified well in advance. It is not the same as a group of friends going out for a hack.

I'm up for doing a bit in yorkshire, and I'm sure our local bridleways group would be too. My only celeb contact is the boxer, Johnny Nelson, ( I used to childmind for his nephew)his family are horsey and might want to take part.

It is not the same as a group of friends going out for a hack most definatly not Sue have already mentioned thoughts on those sorts of issues to Lorraine .. like insurance as well .. its just at the ideas stage at the mo .... literally tonights idea Laura, get hold of Lizzee and sort out some routes. A big event like this will need police and ambulance services notified well in advance. It will quite a logistical monstrosity ..... depending on how its decided to procede will depend on how deeply the emergency services. vets etc will be involved . Theres the possibility of involving local groups like endurance bods , BHS groups, bridleways groups etc so lots and lots to consider

What a fantastic idea. ;D I really wish I was still riding but if I can help in West Somerset/Quantock Hills area, I'd be pleased to do so.

I can probably do something in North Yorkshire, and offer a stopover for horses for anybody who's really hardcore and wants to do more than one day, or use it as a pick up point.

What a shame - you've picked the weekend my son is getting married! - maybe you can have a special high-viz vest for the event so I can make sure I wave to anyone going past!

Perhaps we can gather riders for areas amongst the demo helpers as it is often the only time we meet face to face with nearish-to riders that aren't on our doorstep.
