Does anyone know of any barefoot trimmers in Cheshire?
I do not want Brecon to have shoes on when he is older and so would like to get a Barefoot trimmer now. Do not want to use tradional farriers really as they are adament you need shoes and so trim towards that way. Or am i wrong?
Correct me if i am.
So does anyone know any Barefoot trimmer who covers Cheshire?

Karen Beaumont is in Cheshire and is excellent. Her website is: karenabeaumont.com. There are quite a few DGers who use her who I am sure would recommend her also. She is an Advanced Level DAEP, so is fully qualified, insured etc etc.
Hope that helps :-)

Karen is lovely if you want to use an EP - she did a great talk for one of our Cheshire Horsey Coffee Mornings.
Daughter & I have Paul Jackson (UKNHCP) who has about 30 years experience as a farrier but is also a barefoot trimmer & does a brilliant job on our 2. In fact he has such a way with horses that daughter's mare is totally in love with him & stands & cuddles him!

ihdg.proboards91.com/index.cgi?board=demos&action=display&thread=1322Melissa, this is the link to the HCM thread on the Places to Go board. The new dates for 2009 are on page 1. The next one is 24th January at Mollington Village Hall near Chester. The HCMs were started last year by the lovely KathyN & LisaP and have really taken off. They are a mix of talks by experts, general horse chat and fun; they started off being a couple of hours long but we soon realised that we would need bacon butties as we're still there at lunchtime . Kathy's husband is a dab hand with the George Foreman! It would be lovely to meet you if you can make it to the next one - whereabouts are you in Cheshire?

If you're in Knutsford you're in a really good place to go to the HCM - in fact it's compulsory! We don't normally take anything, just our £5, but if you're a brilliant cake maker..................... ;D ;D ;D
