i have a driving halter under my welshs bridle
if he is being spooky and i need to get off i find it easyer to lead hin off the halter than his pelham also if we need to tie up out on a ride to help anouther hack ect... also come inhandy

Well, I ride with the Dually under the bridle because I have a very nappy horse. I often have to start the ride off by leading (if going on my own), and, as he can be nappy in hand too, I have much more control with the Dually. Basically I can get him moving very quickly with very little pressure.
Understand what you're saying Wally, but some of us have to do what we can to get out and about. If that means Dually under the bridle, then so be it.
