for condition with out heating as i feed all natural supplements
i would feed
fenugreek brewers yeast linsead lozange (horses love them and dont seam to be heating at all ) linsead oli is also very good for coat shine (but i woudlent feed to much)
also if your horse is a fussy eater i would add some spearmint they will eat aything with it in

You may want to rethink the garlic. www.equisearch.com/horses_care/feeding/feed/eqgarlic528/If it is just shine you want then adding something like micronised linseed is a good option. You can add about a teacupful a day and it isn't heating as it provides slow release energy. Alternatively try something like Top Spec Cool and Condition cubes which are a mix of linseed and soya. Again they provide slow release energy so shouldn't make him hyper. Baileys Outshine has various vitamins and minerals added so it is probably overkill to feed it alongside the horse and pony nuts. There is more info on the Baileys Outshine thread so may be worth checking there too.

I was just about to say something similar to June - I have jsut written on another thread about micronised lindseed - I have had really good success with it. Lindseed oil does not have the same effect. My boys coat was really poor and picked up really well.
