Ok, I tried to read through some of your posts but I gave up and just watched the video. Nice horse, but yes very over bent and not something that should be encouraged in any way, posting that on the IH board was bound to get that sort of reaction. I think you would have got a more positive response if you hadn't spent much of the first page talking to each other in txt talk that old people like me can't be bothered trying to interpret!

*rolls eyes* i dont remember asking for a critique it was purely to show off the horse we are taking on loan, i do NOT think its fair to critique as the owner is not on this board to defend herself

It is a fair critique and if you don't think that it is fair because the horses owner is not on here to defend herself, remove the video. You aren't doing yourself any favours by telling people to lighten up, I was surprised when I clicked on your profiles to see that you are 29 and 22 so both should really know better. But anyway, back under my rock I go

"his outline though yes in side reins is u naturel" I think he would go a little differently if his chin weren't strapped to his chest! Sorry to be harsh, but they are very tight side reins and the poor lad will do himself an injury being worked like that. If he goes so overbent when worked without side reins, then you have a hard task ahead to educate him to lengthen his neck and seek the contact. He looks a lovely boy, and I hope you can buy him asap and burn those gadgets! He will thank you for it. If Santa bought you any Amazon vouchers, I can highly recommend Tug of War by Dr Gerd Heuschmann. It is a brilliant book to explain the physical consequences of working the horse too tight and too round, and why the old classical ways are the best I think this horse's current owner could really do with a copy!

Oh sorry, didn't read page 2 first, didn't realise you didn't want comments. But I think you have to realise that people on an IH forum will be a little stunned to see a horse being worked so tightly. I accept that it wasn't you doing the work, and commend you for taking the horse on and planning to work him without gadgets, but god, in the first few seconds of that vid, all I could think was Coby van Balen and Power and Paint, the side reins look just as tight and look at all the fuss those pics caused in the dressage world. It is a bit of a shocker, sorry

Not once did I say you were immature, but if you expect people to read your posts and take them seriously then it does help if you type words in full, put in a few capital letters and generally attempt to handle yourself as adults.
Its great that you don't use gadgets, but surely you can see that putting up a video of a horse going round with its head strapped down is going to get a negative reaction.
