I can't seem to find one that doesn't cost the earth!
One of my mares can't have a bit in her mouth... she is ridden by the kids and i want to get her long reinin and although she is good... i wanted a little more control that if i just had her on a head collar long reining her....
I can't find a small enough hackamore....... Not sure if you can effectively ride in a parelli type halter or not?
Any ideas?

Try www.bitlessbridle.co.uk - if you contact them they will make to measure for you, and the webbing or beta ones are not too expensive. Sheila the owner is really helpful.

Hi, Happy New Year,
Do you go bitless the very first day? Does your horse knows the bitless any practice? Going bitless needs some steps before going bitless.
Wish you the best, PH

Lots of people ride or long line in a dually but you'd probably need to have it modified. Shouldn;t be too difficult to have done tho.

Really cookie.... i'd love a dually.... but its the problem getting one to fit... and wouldn't know who/where i could get it modified...
Said pony will ride in head collar... and is starting off long reins in head collar and going well... but not much control if she does decide to have a strop! lol

just to echo ............ shiela on bb very helpful one can ride with a rope halter quite effectively but need be wary about use on roads / in public as some insurance companies class it as halter not a bridle for "control" purposes. kids may or may not find it ok to use one ...... personally I'd go for the bb as its used like a normal bridle really.
