Ah, that would be another thing to look for then. I probably won't be looking until I find another job but I may change my mind and decide to spend a bit more of my redundancy pay

Karon - should be less now but I dont dare try it at mo!!! When I first got it (in about June this year) I filled it from empty and it costs £100. Normally put £60/week and that's about 3/4 of a tank full.

Loza, My current one is silver with "drug dealer tinted windows!!!" the interior is a polished black trim which I love. My XS was black which I loved but OH got fed up of it looking permanently dirty (we live down an unmade up road). We got a great deal on it so have some extras thrown in as well!!
I never fill mine up - I leave that for when OH drives it!!

Wish I could get my OH to fill my car up for me I do like the idea of having a silver car with blacked out windows Or a black one. But it would be easier to just buy a mud coloured one, really, to save on washing!!

Cleaning? Cleaning? No, sorry, not familiar with that in relation to cars Especially after we took the Citroen through a car wash and it buggered the starter motor and alternator Have I mentioned I hate French cars at all?!

Way hay Lozza, I've got a pimped Sorrento, blacked out windows, side steps, colour coded bumpers - oh and a dog guard - not sure that goes with the image.... Cleaning cars, never, proud to say I can't remember ever cleaning a car, isn't the dirt supposed to protect the paintwork??!!

Sue Im beginning to get a case of the green eyed monster with you!!!! I have to say, u do sound proper pimped out! Even more girly a question - have u named ur car? mines called Big Bertha, or Bertha for short.
The only times I have ever properly cleaned a car , afterwards I've either crashed, been hit or broken down so I don't do it now!

Oh dear sorry Loza the car has no name, am I cruel and heartless??
Sounds like a good idea not to clean the car as it may damage your health!!
Karon go for a Sorrento, I think Loza and I may have to start a Kia Fan Club!!

I think it probably says more about me than it does you that I name my cars!!! ha ha! Ive named all of mine so far - Bazil, Betty, Elsie and Bertha - yes I am a bit weird. Even got my other half into naming cars, his Clio is now called Roger!!!
Sorentos rule!!

I refuse to name my car I do call the Citroen names, but they're rarely polite Looking at reviews the Sorrento does seem a good bet, but what's it like to drive on normal driving (ie country roads, motorways etc)?

Hi Karon, Well as you can guess Loza and I think they are great! Driving wise it is certainly the nicest most comfortable car I have owned, I'm on my second one so must be good, it tows fantastically, you hardly notice its pulling the Equi Trek.
Motorway wise, it is brilliant, quiet and with enough oomph under the engine, I really cannot fault it, I am trying not to sound like a Kia car salesman and think of some negatives but I honestly can't. We had looked at more expensive cars before seeing the Sorrento and we both think value for money its fab. If you can wait 18 months we will be selling this one and getting another LOL !!!!!!

When I first drove one I found the steering VERY light. Don't know if Sue would agree but for such a big car I was amazed at how light the steering is. I've driven various other 4x4s and it's completely different. I got used to the sterring quickly and love it but my other half finds it odd (he drives a sporty clio which tough suspension and steering). Also when we first got it, it seemed very bouncy in the back. It's all down to the suspension I suppose and u dont notice it in the front but when u passenger in the back it can seem bouncy. Both those points can be taken either way i suppose tho. I see them as positives but suppose it's down to driving style. I find it very easy to drive. U can't throw it round like a normal car. I went from a petrol 2 litre Rover 400 to my diesel Sorento and really noticed the difference in pulling off at junctions but I'd never had a diesel so it may have been that.
There is LOADS of room in the back tho - back seats and boot! Everyone who gets in the back seats comments on how roomy it is.
Before I got mine I asked loads of people with Sorentos what they thought, even to the point of harrassing people waiting in cinema cars parks and they all love theirs. I got odd looks but once they realise ur not gonna mug them and want to talk about their car u cant shut them up - a bit like me and Sue!!!

Sue I was trying to sound unsaleman like too but finding it v difficult! Some of my features dont work properly but I think that's down to age and prvious owners rather than Kias as a whole (passenger heated seat doesnt work, reversing sensors have a mind of their own altho not genuine Kia parts, passenger under seat draw broken, etc). All things I can live with tho.
