Bad for me as we have to sell the farm and downsize. Good with ponies, Laurel is longlining wonderfully and in 2008 will start her ridden career as a 5 yr old ;D (she was very poor and in bad shape when I bought her (felt sorry and had to have her and Flynn). Flynn has come on from a terrified yearling to a nearly brave 2 yr old. He even managed to walk up the lane and around the fields yesterday with only one spook! Walter the shetland is learning to pull a saddlecharriot and loves the attention. He will be doing more next year as a 4 yr old as he is getting bored now and is ready for me to sit on the chariot while moving now. Lucy (3 yr old) has worn a saddleand will start with a yrs longlining and walking out in hand to see traffic etc to build her up ready for riding as a 5 yr old ;D. (I dont start to ride mine till they are 5 yrs as are Fell ponies and I am a larger lady so they spend a yr in longlines to build up muscle). Guy my oldie has made it to xmas with his cushings and lami, lets hope we get to spring! ;D Then the biggie for me and Elliott is I have started to ride again and have gone from sitting on him crying, unable to walk, to lopeing around (ride western) and preparing for a show next yr!!! ;D ;D The big Aims for 2008 is to ride Elliott in company, ride at a show, start Laurels ridden career, sell the farm and start afresh in a smaller place and lose nearly 4 stone! ......ahh not much planned then lol!
