At last!!! I've had the jumping lesson with Michael Potter that I won at the boogie auction back in Feb Thanks to Sulasmum I had the loan of a lovely horsey for the lesson, owned by a friend of Sulasmum. She's called Gala, some of you may have met her at YHL where she was on the Cleveland Bay stand. She was a lovely ride, nice and chunky and very forward going today - I had been warned to bring spurs as she can be lazy, but I contemplated taking them off at one point! We got to know each other on the flat a little first, then did some jumping - only little ones, as I believe she hasn't really jumped for a while, and also I have only ridden properly twice in the last 10 weeks, lol! Michael was a great instructor, he had a really nice manner and always had something positive to say, even when things didn't quite go to plan... So all in all I had a lovely lesson and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Special thanks go to Sulasmum for engineering the loan of Gala! Here's some pics, they're a little dark as the weather was poo today. Michael graciously agreed to take them for me as I told him Sulasmum would beat me up if I didn't get photographic evidence, lol! Also he didn't quite figure out the timing of the digi camera so there aren't many mid-air ones.

I know! But with Cosworth having his accident and then me deciding to loan him, it just never seemed the right time to take him up there. Gala's on holiday livery there this week whilst her owner is away, so it was good timing.
Cos is well thanks, seems to be a happy bunny! And Lukas is coming on very well, we have mastered long reining thanks to Annabelle, he's started wearing his saddle now and I'm just waiting for the fitter to come out so that I can get on him in the next few weeks!

He jumps in seniors Mags, don't know that much about him except he's better than me, lol! I think he trains with Di Lampard, he's based at his parent's place called Lambley House near Notts.

Looks like a fab lesson. I love the 7th pic down - you can almost feel the power of the horse collecting itself ready for another jump. I love that power feeling.
