face the demon hill Having been injured a few months ago taking W up this hill a few months ago............ and been in pain and on crutches for several weeks I decided that , despite a damaged nerve in my right leg leading to a weakness there ........ it was time to "get on board" again and face THE HILL with W I evaluated the risk .... * right leg still weak affecting balance but no pain. * despite many years of working with W and no adverse outcomes, I had been caught unawares by our little mishap and suffered severe consequences ( unable to work for a whole month ),...... could the same sequence of events occur again ? * I had some some less risky groundwork with W and had no adverse consequences ;D Ok mentally prepared myself, NLP techniques utilised ...... ... shrank the images of W and myself parting company at the top of what is usally a very minor hillock and me in pain .... Imagined us both at the top of the hill and mission accomplished.......... such a sense of achievement !!!!!!! mentally ready .... we WILL succeed... remember Kellys perfect confidence book OK ensure balance steady ....... ...... both hands even and responding to all W variations over the uneven ground ......look to the top of the hill and GGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WOW mission accomplished Wheelbarrow to top of poo pile and empties in complete synchronisation and no parting of the ways

well I would love to have been able to say that it had been x country round badmington ..... or a trip down the derby bank at hickstead that led to such an injury ...... but sadly W and decided to go different ways and I REALLY hurt my back !

LOL nice one! I fell in the muckheap last winter, wheelbarrow squashed me and I got totally stuck - friend had to pull me out! How we laughed - eventually lol!

Lol! There's nothing worse than a remedial wheelbarrow playing up in a squelch of poo and mud. However I am currently wheelbarrowless (H finally finished it off! ) so I envy your wheels. Well, wheel. Negotiating the muckheap with a shovelful of the wretched brown stuff is much safer but takes 100 times as long

yes, these wheelbarrows can get their revenge is one does not treat them right ..... although still wondering what I did to our rather elderly one ...... maybe it wants retiring and we did not listen when its front tyre needed fixing in the summer. Maybe I deen to go on a wheelbarrow whispering course ! although must admit W has been wonderful the last few weeks ....... and we wven did three trips up "the hill" today !!! Mind you I do mutter a lot about my gammy leg so maybe guilt is a factor

u kno when we had a major frost a couple of weeks back, i copuldnt poo pick it was frozen solid..so cue next day quite mild i decide quick poo pick!! so off i rush and on route back i step forward with my right leg, wheelbarrow gets caught stops dead and i crash into it. the pain made me well up and not breathe properly for a while whilst pretty much lying in the poo covered barrow i limped my way back to the yard to have everyone wondering what i was doing...they thought i found something interesting in the poo!!

noooooooooooo def not , ben/ws twas a rather toungue in cheek laugh at myself realy ........... ;D twice I have been on crutches after incident s and neither involved a horse in motion ........ the last time was when I decided to vault onto Taz from a x country jump in the field........ forgot she had bathes and conditioned the day before ........ she started to move away as tep so I compensated... then she moved back and I carried on right over the other side. It would have sounded mcuh more "dramatic" if I could have said I did it on some of these occasions ..... a 100 yard bronking spree through a field cause Taz frustrated I would not let her canter with the other horses cause photagrapher was waiting to get us individually ... I baled out onto soft grass rather than hit trees ! .... diched after a spin when someone waved a crop in her face ( she has SERIOUS issues with whips I THOUGHT were sorted !) ..... came off at canter when horse had stroke and went head over heels ...... galloping over the wild hills of wales alas no my greatest injuries have such pitiful origins
