Do we think the leg has gone down? I think the upper part definitely has, where there was a big swelling. Her knee still looks swollen. How do we think she looks condition wise? Leg first - one week ago on the left, today on the right I turned Meg out for 10 minutes whilst I mucked her stable out. She was so happy! I only put her in the bit where its fairly small, and has a good grass covering. what can I see? how do I look.... heehee bet you love me now Mum mud (shes walking btw here, not holding her leg up!) back in

When my Pearl got kicked on her hock, it swelled up badly. She took 3 months for it to all go down, as she developed lymphangitis in the end. Had all scans and xrays, no bone chips, just infection ! Had to use human antibiotics from vets (can't remember name of drug !). Pearl also twisted her front leg (think she went down rabbit hole) once, and that swelled up, again due to lymphangitis. Both times took a wee while for her to return to normal size ! I can only say that Pearl gets lymphangitis easily if she takes a bad knock to her legs ! Meg looks improved, but not all gone yet of course. Tried the tea too ? Supposed to be good for filled legs (wish I'd known that when Pearl's legs blew up !)

how long has she been on the antibiotics? usually takes almost a week for it to look normal - but it certainly looks better.

LLoyd had a similar swelling this year. He came in with his back legs covered in cuts, and one of them the size of a tree trunk. Antibiotics cleared it up, and the sweeling had almost gone 3 days later His normal back leg to compare

Her leg has gone down alot Emily, that's got to be a promising sign. Fingers crossed for wednesday. Condition wise I think she is a little light but if she's been under the weather lately that could be it, some horses drop weight when they are in pain. Apologies if she always looks like this, I know she's very fit I just think she looks a bit light.
