Well it's a bit lonely here at present. Just me and all these books. Never mind, I'll just sit in front of a roaring log fire, put me specs on, and start reading that new book by Mark Rashid & Kathleen Lindley. Mind you it's lovely & cosy, so p'raps I'll just have a quick, yawn, shut eye zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I'm here too. (Wanders amongst the stacks trailing hand along the books). My next book to read is The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory. I'll just sit down in the other chair by the fire and read quietly. I promise not to wake you rj.

Have a nice coffee ladies! (pulls up a chair) I'm struggling with my latest-I recently got into Dean Koontz-have read a few, but I'm struggling through Icebound-I hate giving up on a book, but I'm thinking if I surreptitiously slip it down the back of this chair and wander off to find something else........

Honestly RJ, you've only been in here five minutes and you've broken the rules already. How come *you* don't get into trouble? Title, author and isbn in thread title........ "DG library inhabitants" a study by RJ; ISBN NYA (not yet allocated) - see it's easy to be good, everyone tells me, so it must be true.

Mmm? wha.....? Where am I? Ooh, I've dribbled all over the posh leather upholstery, sorry. Was having a strange dream about - no, never mind, it won't sound good!
How could I break any rules? I just had a little snooze - well OK I slept here all night.
Actually, I hadn't got the book mentioned, but June is going to loan it to me, then I will have the Irritable Bowel Syndrome Ref No or whatever it's called.
And, and and what about if you haven't got the book with you, or you read it years ago, or something?
How're you going to know the details then, eh? Does that mean it shouldn't be mentioned? Like:- My Friend Flicka Thunderhead and another whose name I've forgotten, by Mary O'Hara, for starters.
And it's true, it IS easy being good, but it's NOT easy being green.

S'OK you was whispering really quietly Iceberg. I could only just hear you.
Yes I knew it had Grass/Wyoming, thanks - I got the green in though! And I've read Silver Brumby too. So many years ago.
If Geordie Horse has left a book lying about, there'll be t-r-ouble. Is Dean Koontz the guy who wrote Sick Puppy, or have I got the wrong end of the long wooden thing? If he did I've read quite a few of the others too. If not I'm talking drivel. For a change.
Our Book Club has just read Salmon Fishing in the Yemen or something like that ( See, no names/ no packhorses, sorry). It was quite good, but not sure if the format worked.

Just seen some Dean K books in the charity shop. No he wasn't who I thought he was,and I think that is the title PP it.... ow, ow, ow. Vic, come here this minute. What is that in your hand? Let me see. I said Let me see. NOW. I thought so. Give it to me, and go over to that corner and sit there for half an hour. Let that be a lesson to you, and the pea-shooter is confiscated. You will not get it back.

Mmm, do I believe this show of contrition? Just ignore Geordie Horse and don't react. Remember, ignore the bad, reward the good.
OK, Pea-shooter returned, but disarmed. Not to be used in the library. Now let's have a nice cup of tea, and a bit of peace & quiet.
Anyone seen a good book on horse psychology for pinkpony?
For all things physical - muscular/skeletal, massage & remedial stuff I recommend anything by Mary Bromiley. She's written good books and made a vid for Your Horse many years ago. I still look at that for tips.

Can I drag up a musty old armchair and gently pick at your collective brains?
What would you buy for someone who has just got their first youngster? I'm thinking of "from Birth to Backing" by Richard Maxwell, but I haven't even looked at it and didn't know if there were others that you might recommend.
Otherwise, a good book on either basic massage techniques or reiki?
What say you, O wise and dribbling ones??? ;D

Well as I sit here wisely dribbling...... a friend is bringing up baby for the first time herself, and has Max's book, which I believe she rates highly. She also has a whole load of others. Will pick her remaining brain. It's tough bringing on a youngster; did you know?!
