Hi Annabelle - meeting up in the George and Dragon this thursday is a great idea - I have a jumping lesson at 1830 so will be there in smelly riding gear. Sadie mentioned that there was a birthday 21st Birthday party there on thursday too - so it will be full of horsey people!
A ride on the 1 December is a good plan too - Red and I did 14 miles this saturday on a new route - we'll have to plan a good route with some good views and maybe a pub!

Hi Annabelle,
Was nice to meet you (very briefly!) at the demo! Tim and I will be there on Thurs if all goes to plan - we have just moved to almost Oxfordshire, so I think we qualify! Look forward to meeting all of you (and having a bit of a better chat with you Annabelle!) :-)

Hi Louise - really looking forward to meeting you again on thursday - I'll have had a jump lesson before the pub so might be a bit tires and emotional depending on how Red behaves!
If you get there early maybe you could come up and re-aquaint yourself with Big Red? My yard is just next to the pub (why do you think I chose it!)

Great! Yes I and various other horsey folk will be in the pub on Thursday night so all welcome. Glad you can make it Louise and Tim - I will mention it to Tara as well - she is hard at work hoof conditioning my client's horses at Alden. Great to have her around. Look forward to chatting with you both. I nominate LuckyRed as routemeister for the 1 Dec ride. She knows all the good places, but you need to tell her how far you want to go or you'll end up half way to London! ;D Bring a pony Cathy, it will be fun! I have some teaching in Herts on 1 Dec in the morning but will fit round what you guys are doing, maybe catch up with you half way round or something. Can't miss the mince pies. Annabelle x

Should we all agree to wear something identifiable so we can recognise each other? A DG fleece / baseball hat or maybe a bit of baler twine in the left lapel?

Will have a chat with Simon and see if we can make it - we're in Thame so definitely Oxfordshire - horses are in Buckinghamshire (nr Great Missenden) so we can class as Bucks as well, and Simon works in Reading so that's Berks - far too many county borders round here!
Great idea to meet up,
Sue

Hi Sue, would be great to see you, I forgot you were in Thame now. Yes, this part of Oxon used to be in Berkshire apparently, rather odd. So we won't be "county-ist" about it! Copied from other board: I would suggest 7.30pm on Thurs and either wear some IH gear or PM me your mobile number and I'll text to tell you where in the pub we are. There will be food available for those that want it, but it's optional. They have some nice main courses which are £7-8 I think, or less for baked potatoes etc. You are all going to turn up aren't you and not leave me being Billy No Mates!! Annabelle

Sorry to miss you Seabiscuit. Maybe ask LuckyRed about the hack, she is the hacking specialist on the block.
See you tonight folks!

Haven't decided yet on where or when exactly - I'm waiting to see if there are any special requirements such as absolutely no road work or barefoot horses who want to avoid stony tracks. I normally do at least a 2 hours up to 4 - I normally do between 6 to 15 miles - depends on how much cantering I can get away with!
If you guys want to come along let me know whether you would prefer Saturday afternoon or Sunday - Annabelle would prefer sunday and I'm happy either day (I'll probably be going out both days!)
Who wants to come?
