Yaaay! great pics,Tia,they are looking so much better, poshed up manes too! I'm so glad to hear that Tila seems to be finally sorted, although I'm coming to the conclusion that all vets want sacking really! Just glad that it finally seems to be resolved for her and she can start to feel better.(((((((((( hugs and wither scratches to both!)))))))))))

Helllloooo
Just a quick update.. had the vet out with Tila this morning and she had another steroid inject for her cough which has really not been there the last few days!! yeahhh, but her lungs sound quite bad still so she is still on med but doing much better.. Rose is fine too, no probs with her at all!! hehe other than the fact that if she is not walking out behing Tila when we're heading to the field then GOD HELP ME, this morning I brought her out first (there is normally someone there to help or else I just bring them both out together) and she decided that she would rear and try and gallop back to Tila mmmmmm but we managed to turn round and and head back down to the field, then we had a couple of pheasents jump out to say hello, I nearly p**ed my pants never mind Rose, so you can imagine how that went, of course Mr and Mrs Pheasent decided to just stand there and look at us!!! meanwhile Rose was on her back legs, but i managed to convince her that they are ok and she walked on past them!! phewww other than that, they are just fine!! and very loving and kind.. will take some more pics at the weekend..

Thanks Melissa! she is looking much better, they both are, and tbh I'm mainly relieved that Rose is acting like a normal two year old! she is very good really just has her little moments!! long journey ahead but I'm really glad I've got them and cant imagine how happy I'll feel in a year or so when Rose is looking more like a normal horse, although I think shes getting there now..

Hi guys! Well today, I have come to the decision that I will leave the girls out until end of next summer. Tila has copd and she is coping well but the vet strongly recommends that I leave her out if I can. Also, Rose is doing really well and we been getting her used to rugs etc... shes happy to have her rug taken on\off now, she is also leading really well, other than when we are going to her turnout field in the mornings, shes very excitable, and I'm glad to see it with her, shes got a real spring in her step now.. however, I really do think she would do well staying out and being allowed to be herself for a while, I think she has come so far and been so patient throughout all her travels and new surroundings, they both have been through so much that nows the time to just chillout I think!! Also if they go out to grass livery then they will get such a great area to run in, theres no field shelters but loads of natural shelter. I've bought them a few good rugs with different fills.. what do yous think? I've never left any of my horses out over the winter before so at first I wasnt having it at all... but as time as gone on I think it may be best for these two all round, for loads of reasons.. it doesnt make any difference financially at this yard, its about a fiver a week cheaper than keeping them in, so I havent even thought of that and wouldnt anyway... I spoke to the yo about this before and she said they have available fields for grass livery if thats what i want, I've been thinking about this for ages and just wasnt sure until now.. so I love you hear what yous think?

Hi Tia,
Sounds like a great idea to me,I am sure they will both be fine and happier for it,especially now they have both put so much condition on.I think the worst part of grass livery is the pain in the butt for the owner having to go and bring dirty wet neddies in etc! I would want to bring them in at least once a day and feed/groom them but I'm sure you will be doing that anyhow,I really do think they will love being out in their rugs.
