Hi there
Just wanted to let everyone no that Rose and Tila are home, it was just over 12 hours to get them here but they were absoulte stars, I felt so sorry for them having to travel all that way.
We had about 4 stops from Sarahs to Scotland and they had hay all the way, Rose travelled better than Tila, poor Tila she seems so worried about Rose (being a typical mummy). Rose was happy just munching away, Tila ate a bit but not much...
The boat was awful (for me mostly), the girls were great. When we arrived at Stranaer we were sent out onto the open deck, then the hydraulic doors were shut behind them, they were out there all on there own, and we werent allowed to stay with them... I found a spot out on one of the side decks and I stayed there the whole journey watching the trailer, didnt take my eyes of them, I was so worried that it would get rocky or too windy... but finally we made it... we were checked by someone when we got off at Belfast!! He wanted to check the horses but not the paperwork... (strange) but anyway... it was only another half hour and we arrived at the yard...
Tila just walked off the box and straight into her stable and had a good roll... Rose walked off then kinda stumbled, picked herself up and walked straight in too... so they had there feed and hay and I left them until this morning...
This I went up and turned them out straight away, its a short lead down the lane to their turnout field and they were both quite excited, infact I was struggling to get the headcollar of Rose quick enough as she just wanted to have a canter around... I've just left them and there fine.
Hubby and I are going to bring them in about 4ish cause there is loads of grass in there field, I'm bit worried that they make themselves ill with all that, then I'll gradually leave them out a bit longer each day...
I felt like kissing our Northern Irish ground when we got to the yard, but decided against it as we had a few spectators!! lol
I'll update as much as I can over the next few days... thank you for all the support, oh and I'll take pictures from tomorrow onwards and update with those also...
Rosetila (formally Tia) couldnt think of any other user name sorry... ;D
