Fab news Dizzy - must be so rewarding. How is she with ropes? Might be worth introducing her to one of those before you try the headcollar? Then get the headcollar on, the reintroduce the rope?

So pleased that you have given this lovely girl a fab home & a second go at life - it's heartbreaking to think what these horses must have been through. I hope things continue to get better & better xx

Quick Libby update and a few pics. I cannot get over how wonderful this gentle giant is! On Monday I took her out of her stable and let her graze on a little bit of grass by the house. She was very reluctant to come out and was not playing pressure release in any shape or form LOL! She would follow a carrot though. Took a little while but got her back in the stable. Decided to try again yesterday and she sauntered out on the end of her rope like she'd been doing it all her life!! Had a good crop of the grass (though she didn't want to go any further and definitely wouldn't go near the trailer!) and then followed us back into her stable. What a star! I am hoping she will very soon (maybe this weekend) be able to go out in the field.....what a huge relief that will be as her stable is like armageddon most of the time!! Apart from the leading I am treating her eyes with some eye cream, she just stands there and lets me squirt it into her eyes! I don't think any of our other horses would let us do that! I am dying to give her a bath and get her feet done so she looks a bit more cared for. Funny shape baby horse she is!

Well done she is doing great by the sound of it. I can,t believe also how quiet and gentle all these horses are when you think what they have been through. She is lovely.

She has a lovely face Dizzy and looks well with her ears pricked. Very sweet.
And what a big girl. I have a feeling she will emerge from winter looking absolutely stunning.
Your affection towards her comes across in your post.

Another update.....she's out in the field!! Yay!! My good friend Kayti was here yesterday and got her leading really nicely so we ended up leading her down to her new field, well more of a large outdoor stable really LOL, but at least she can see the others, eat grass and be a real horse. Tonight a lady Sarah Dent told me about came and we did more leading and picking up her feet. She was quite unsure to start with but by the time we finshed she'd fallen asleep! Everyone that meets her can't believe how fabulous she is and what a lovely natured, trusting horse. (No-one believes she was unhandled though, she learns so quick!) I am so honoured to have been given this chance. Thanks for all the support everyone. healthwise her eyes have nearly cleared up, I am doing the 5 day guard but haven't seen a single worm type thing so concerned whether it has worked? Her feet are also a huge concern but as Kayti said, she's lived with them this long a little while longer will be better in the long run and she is starting to pick them up for us now. Aww, bless her, I love her to bits! (Not neglecting the others either I promise, Maybelline is like part of the furniture now, Luna goes on loan tomorrow (sob), Elphin is getting scanned next week and just chilling after her nasty experience and Kizzy and Obi are just the bestest! Oh and my poor Pearl Lamb looks tonnes better tonight too!) Leading with Kayti Her own field and grass!

Hi
So happy to see her new pics, she has come such a long way in a short time, shows how much she appreciates what you have saved her from.
Glad everyone else is ok too. Need pics of Maybellline as well!
