I use the lincoln herbal. I'm sure once she completely trusts you, she will let you put it on her

Thanks for that info Lolly, thing is she will stand there and let me stroke her over her entire body for over an hour at a time. However she doesn't like brushes at the mo or anything else! pretty sure she has been hit in the past as she has some scars and she hates hand movements that are just slightly quick even if they are no where near her!!! Just need patience patience patience which is fine by me I know we will get there in the end.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have had an awful afternoon!! Went to see the baby girl and poor baby! her left eye was really swollen, weeping and she could hardly open it! So I rang the vet and explained in by bestest french (ok face to face but struggle on the phone!), he came out within an hour Thank God! He says she has conjuctivitus probably due to the flippin flies!!!!! He gave her an injection and put some drops in her eye and I have to put more in every morning & evening for 5days, oh goodie! She was not impressed when he went to give her the injection she ran off, great I thought here we go. However bless her heart she came back to me after a couple of minutes and he managed to give her it and put the drops in! As we came out of the field she left me a pile of poo think she was telling me what she thought of that!!! Anyway thats another €57.00 lighter although worth it to know she is ok, these animals are no good for your health you know talk about worry!!!! But god I love her she is just so lovely>

Poor Lancia! Ever the optimist me, but do you think there might be a silver lining to this? Sometimes they seem to just KNOW when you're doing something to help them and having to apply the ointment might just be a stepping stone to her allowing you to do more? Cold tea in between applications might help soothe it too.

Thanks for that Lolly! I hope so too. Although her eye definately seems better this evening. In fact I went out a little while ago and she was over the other side of the field and even before I said anything she came cantering over to me(it's the first time she has actually run to me!) OMG it is such a great feeling and this is after I have been putting the drops in her eye today, WOW!!!!!!!! She is just such a lovely girl and has truly brought a smile back to my face after losing my German Shepherd a few weeks ago!

See! Hate to say, I told you so, but....I told you so!!!! Re the tea - I normally make myself a cup then put the tea bag in a jug and make up a pint - leave it to cool, then use a cotton wool pad dipped in the tea and squeezed out. Different pad for each eye so you don't share the infection. Seems to help.

Yeah yeah ok!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Clever clogs!!!!!!
Thats what I have been doing, so I suppose you think you're very clever now don't you?!
No seriously Thanks for that info, her eye is definately looking better thank goodness. Although it hasn't helped her mood first thing in the morning, she definately is NOT a morning girl unlike me! She loves her breakfast and a quick love but thats it. Although by mid morning she is much better and later on in the evening she is all lovey dovey think it may be something to do with the heat though as once it has cooled down she is much more loving!
I went and sat in her field earlier and read a book, she was soooo funny she tried eating my chair and then nibbling my leg. Tell you what though I know she's a big girl but when you're sat down and she is standing over you it is something to behold OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
