this is starting to sound like a plan!!!!! ;D. I'd love to come, and i know leah, vickie and shar would like to as well. weekends are pretty manic up until june but after that i'm free. Farrier bin, shiny new shoe's. and the day is looking pretty sunny, so off we go again. ment to be spending the week moving out of our house, but hey how long can it take . riding is much more important. be good to get up to yes tor Boz, my farrier gave me good piece of advice for the moor, if your horse takes off you are never very far from a hill, point him at it , and he promised me i would run out of horse before i ran out of moor. typical man, but kind of made sence, in my odd little head. Must tell Moss that bit about tanking off!!

Speak to alfie about the 3 moors ride. She is organising it for charity MS, basically a group of riders are riding thr three highest peaks on Exmoor, Dartmoor and Bodmin. the ride starts up at exmoor and rides right through to Bodmin - think its about a week, stopping overnight in fields, stables and whereever they can cadge space. Alfie has organised everything. We have everyone stopping her on th Saturday as we are on the route and will probably ride the Dartmoor sections.
Birch - if you have a TB then the bit about going up hill only applies if it is about 3 miles long!!!!!

OOOHHH I wish i'd known about it earlier I nurse neuro rehab for a living!!! I could probably have got loads of sponsors too. If alfie could tell me more I might be able to cheer you on somewhere. Moss is a Highland who thinks he is a TB x tank, aka pocket rocket! My speed queen is Con, a carrot red TB x Welsh.

Birch, you are more than welcome to have a sponsor form and you can come and ride days with us, I think we are full for night stops, but if you wanted to come to exmoor with us and we had a space you would be more than welcome, i have a couple of riders that are undecided, and i realise the commitment but would do my best for you, i'll pm my phone no to you and fell free to give me a ring. Boz, equestrian now are giving us advertising space, for free. Did the bullocks today, alfie was a star, i'm really shaky today and i think he took it for nerves and was quite on his toe's (for alfie) so extra points for both of us. ;D ;D

The going is open moor. Apart from getting onto or off the moor. Good brakes are useful

Devongirl - so sorry about Merlin, it is the most heartbreaking thing to happen, but he's free now. May get to Winkleigh ride - all depends on the horses and soundness. are there any other pleasure ride in this area?
