Now here's the deal ..
This thread is only for positive comments about what you CAN do riding your horse.
You cannot use the words cannot ... you must not use the words must not ..... you can never use the word never in any post on this thread.
You can talk about things you have not done yet but are going to do .. and the steps you need to take in between to reach that target etc .....
No negative words in your post at all ...

Alright... to show pluck here goes..
I can handle my horse all over and in any situation from the ground I can persuade my horse past anything on a hack I can make him yield his hind-quarters and do some reasonable lateral work I can ride out alone with utter confidence I can put bad experiences behind me given 24 hours I can be reasonably brave for myself and my horse when needed I intend to canter out with lots of other horses on my 5 years old in perfect control. Working on that with lots of advice. If problems continue, I will find some help and send Blue off to a larger stables to get socialised I intend to start jumping again, and will start putting up small rails in my field this summer when my OH is home to supervise the adventure.

Ok,good idea but will have to think about my wording. 4 of my babes had their jabs yestarday-3 for the 1st time and they were fab, realy well behaved and I am very happy(power + word)about it. Riding wise,my sims going to get in that trailer-may take some work but hes going to do it,and were going to go showing with him(we as in must share the experience with his sharer)We are also showing harvey as hes turning into a little gem(ref £50.00 pony thread)and looking lovely,so after some strapping,he will go in hand this summer. Looking foward to breaking bella in and I think she will be great and very rewarding. Is this the kind of thing you were after wildrover??

Emy - I'm only after whatever people want to post.
You see, its surprising why people find it more difficult to talk about what they CAN do - or will do - as opposed to the opposite.

Nice idea! I can move Tex easily on the ground and handle him all over. We can hack out alone and in company. We can jump a small jump.

I can ride Poppy across the fields on her own and its great. I can hack her out, with company, on very busy roads and shes a star. I can handle her on the ground showing respect for each other. I can put my young son on her and know she'll look after him. She'll canter across the field to me when I call her. Wow, shes a star!

I can handle all my horses on the ground with temporarily one exception but I will get her I have a wonderful relationship with them all and it is not titbit based (don't use them) I can worm and get the farrier to them all They all look lean and fit after living out 24/7 over winter ready for the spring grass I do show them sucessfully I do ride once or twice a year and thoroughly enjoy it.

I can brush under his belly now, without fear of being kicked (he never did, just my thoughts) I can lead him and know he wont barge into me I can catch him even when he is in cheeky mode and runs off I can take his rug off without him leaping about I can bring him in on his own I'm starting to understand his ways, and he is starting to understand me I can play with him in the field I can move him backwards, and sideways with a slight touch I am building us up to when I can get on him again.

Iceberg - being able to move your horse with a slight touch is very useful. In fact one trainer I had suggested that is something I should constantly work on especially in the stable as you never know when you might need to move him in a hurry.
If anything this thread has made people think a bit. Its less easy to make completely positive comments - probably because the mind is conditioned otherwise.
