Just to let you know that we had such a nice time at RIHS, we had 4.5hr journey there and nearly got a ticket at South Mimms Services for stopping for a wee! I parked in layby in only gap left at end, we went for p, and came out and only 2 lorry's and police car left but what I could see now all lorrys gone was the big NO PARKING sign ;D we got away with just.
Peppi settled in and nodded off to sleep in her tiny box, then Jeavon worked her later that night when cooler, and the warm up area is mahoooosive and such a nice surface that Peppi decided she finally knew how to do a super M trot, now she has it cant stop her also got a nice gallop which she hates doing normally.
So the big day loomed and she was tarted up and looked lovely as she could (she cannot wear all the make up and highlighters others do as she reacts cos of her pink skin), then do worked her in I got changed and off I set to the ringside, only to find her legs had got filthy in the walk up the dusty tracks with no time to do more than brush it off and hope.
She did a really solid 'go round' probably one of her best though did spook in canter at tthe flag that flapped and changed legs (not the flag ) Her individual show was also good so I was told by umpteen people but she did not get into final 10 placings which would have been icing on cake but Jeavon and I were really pleased with how she went anyway and both of us had good time too. Met some old and some new friends (SS3 where are you).
A horse I used to own was placed in same class too which was nice.
Only downer was I lost my handback BUT.....
Some really nice person handed it in to office IN TACT (loads of cash inside) so I was very very grateful that good humans do still exist.
We aim to try and qualify for next year now with both Peppi and Scud who is a Riding Horse, scept I wont tell Scud its a 4hour journey.
I missed finding Showhorses sadly, ran out of time to go searching all the diff. parking area's. Sorry! will you be at the BSPA champs?
