Well, some of ours are youngstock/broodmares so not currently in work, but those who are not breeding/growing are in a good level of work, and all barefoot.

I've put remedial shod in work because I know some farriers class Fitzwygram as remedial. In my case they aren't as they are what we have found work best & so will continue to use them unless something better comes along.

err another one I cant answer lol. My mare who is in work is shod in front, everything else is barefoot. I am having sarah braithwaite trim them from now on and hopefully will get my highland barefoot again in the summer.

Ticked farrier trimmed as most of ours are farrier trimmed but I use a KC trimmer for three that are a bit more complicated.

Of two:
one (now retired) not shod - but was not shod when in work either.
one (in light work) and kept shod.

Voted farrier trimmed but Toons is shod at the front, Spirit is not in work yet and Jaz is in light work and needs front boots to go hacking. I do rasp after the farrier as he leaves far too much heel.

i love these polls He has shoes on all the time, he is in medium/ heavy work with competitions, hacking and all sorts and it would make his feet sore without shoes

Interesting polls Nicola! I think that's all of them now.
Marigold is shod all the time as we too much roadwork to do round my area.

Both my mare are unshod. One is in work and does good road mileage without problems. The other has had laminitis in the foot and mouth year. I have lost faith in farriers and now have a barefoot trimmer I trust who has brought the laminitic's hooves back to where they should be. She is much happier than I've seen her for a long time.
