Hoping that someone here has some bright ideas. I can't fit in my normal clothes anymore, and I need something to wear to the yard - normally I live in my jodhs/breeches - but I can't do them up anymore - and thats getting a bit drafty! What can I wear? Anyone heard of maternity jodhs/breeches? If not, what did you wear while pg?

I was thinking of buying some cheap trackie bottoms as suggested by Dawn. I seem to remember buying some maternity leggings when I was expecting the twins, I'll have to try and remember where I bought them from!

I lived in track suit bottoms from 30wks onwards. I actually got a nice pair of black maternity trousers to show my stallion in-hand at 36 weeks...didnt half get funny looks! Also got a pair of nice stretchy maternity jeans from mothercare which were nice for doing bits and bobs in.
The track suit bottoms for up at the yard were great though, ruined about 6 pairs but stole them off babys dad...

Go to Mothercare etc and have a look for all their leggings and things. I remember buying my first pair of maternity trousers, expanding them to their fullest and laughing saying "I'll never be that big!!!" She who laughs last and loudest..... had to wear them fastened with a saftety pin for extra room by the end of it!!!!!! Also look on eBay for maternity clothes, some people get so little wear out of them it's worth stocking up with millions of cheap second hand stuff.

In fact just did a quick search on eBay for maternity leggings and about 1/2 a dozen pairs came up!

varkie - have a look at these on ebay, item number 7207932789 they are cheap and expand to enormous if needed with a drawstring waistband, the front is quite high as well so would cover bump lovely ! I have the medium pair which are supposed to be a 10-12 but definitely a 12-14 fit and too big for me so I am trying to shrink them every time I wash them! The waist is lovely and stretchy and they will expand as you do!

Hi, through both my pregnancies I used Musto fleece jods, they have elasticated waist and stretch like a second skin from start to finish, then you can use them once you are back to normal size too. I can't recommend them highly enough, they are warm, cosy and sooo comfortable, I lent mine to another pregnant horsey friend and she lived in them even when she wasn't on the yard they were so comfy. About £45 and worth every penny. They come in S,M,L I had a small and large pair but there didn't appear to be much difference in them, large would probably accomodate you better! They shrink back like tights.
