The chestnut on the right... Murphy is about 15.2hh, Irish Draught and was sold from Mark Allman in Madeley, Nr Crewe (Cheshire/Staffs border) in spring last year to a lady in the Shropshire area as far as I know. I owned him a few years ago and went to see him before he was sold on at the beginning of last year. I just want to know that he is happy and can provide information on his history (nothing bad or sinister) as well as pictures etc. from years gone by. Thanks

I would like to say yes I do know your lad, unfortunately I dont. I bought a chestnut gelding with a blaze from Henly horse sales at the begining of the month he is 16:1 though, and although it would be nice for both of us to be able to idenify him I'm sure you would not have like to see the state he was in when I got him. I think sometime in his life he has had a good home because he is such a sweetheart, just very scared. Good thing though now is at least he is safe now and has a home for life. I hope you find out about your lad. It is heartbreaking to not know how they end up

Maybe we ought to have a section for tracing horses/history wanted ? I'm still looking for a chestnut hannovarian called Pyrus, out of Medoc. He would be about 15.3hh-16hh and aged 8 now ! I will upload a pic later when I can find one !

Right, found a picture of Pyrus Born Spring/Summer 1999. Sire Medoc, Dam, Mayflower Star, grandsire on dam's side is Maple Adler (his sire is Adlers Child, who was jumped and ridden by Paul Shockenmole (spelling ??)) Anyone seen this horse about. I will keep an eye on this thread in case anyone recognises one of the horses above ? He was last known living just outside Ingham, Suffolk, but was sold on from there. I expect he was sold on again since (Again he's the chestnut on the left. His full sister is on his right, the bright bay !) I am sure he had one white hind sock (on the near hind).

Thanks for the replies - strange how they are all chestnuts isn't it!
I saw an advert matching his description at the beginning of last year and called to see if it was him. The lady said I could go and see him and he was so clearly loved by her but had to go as she had a new horse arriving.
He was sold through Mark Allman and the lady was given a contact number for the new owners but sadly since then, the number is now not in use.
Would just love to know how he is as he's a cracking horse with character to match!

I can't think for the life of me where i seen Pyrus,i have looked on lots of horse trace sites can't seem to find him Awhh thanks for looking for me. I might try the Hannovarian Society (I know the person who helps run some of the stuff !!) You sure you didn't see him on here a year or two ago when I asked if anyone had seen him, actually think it was in 2005 I last asked on here. I do hope you find where you saw him !! I've googled his name in case he's competing, but can't find him anywhere, just lots of trees (his name is a type of tree you see !! )
