i did think when i saw the first one... 'well prehaps they got it already skinny' but then surely wouldnt you put something like that in the ad so they didnt get a reaction for 'do gooders' like us lol! and then when i saw the second..and the tjird i thought prehaps not!
i know they are a long way from being very bad but it does make me sad that the dealer seems it is alright to sell horses in that state..and there not going cheap either!

The two TBs look like they've come straight out of training at a NOT very good training yard (they're not 'fit' - they're thin!) And horses like that straight out of racing can be had for anything from £0 to £500 tops! So they COULD afford a couple of weeks feeding - doesn't take THAT long to put a bit of flesh on.
Of course theyu're probably nice and quiet like that - might be more of a handful when fed up - heaven help the poor horses if they DON'T get a knowledgeable home.

Am absolutely disgusted!! Echo joto above.....How can she hold her head up advetising horses in that condition....Obviously just in it for the money not the wellbeing of the poor horses!! Yes I know shes a dealer but there is still no need for them to be in that poor a condition!!!!! GRRRRRRRRR...............

Somebody asked how she could know a lot about them unless she had had them a while, to me it doesn't look like they have had them any more than standard. In fact I suspect they're not long out of training by the descriptions and pictures. Still shouldn't have so many thin horses, but as a breed they do tend to be hard to keep the weight on.

even if they are reported nothing will be done about them as they wont be 'thin enough'

I'm sad to say these horses are positively fat compared to those I see at polo clubs. Hence I do all I can not to go. And I think its rubbish that the breed is difficult to keep weight on at that age, I have one apparently impossible to put weight on, when playing polo she is leaner than currently but not that thin and only needs 1kg hard feed per day and a healthy lifestyle. There is no excuse. ps. this is her now, living out in field with little shelter no rug just grass.

Honestly, I would rather see working horses on the thin side rather that fat. Dont get me wrong, I think the women could have at least fed the poor horses up a bit before selling but i just couldnt help thinking noone ever posts horrified look how fat this poor horse is post but thats far worse for the horses health

I've emailed them as well, but if you look at the top of the box that you put your comments in to email the advertiser, it says that the content is checked by horsemart first, so I doubt that any of our emails will get through to these people
