i think if you are looking for a second hand saddle try going to your nearest saddlers( and i mean a saddlers not a tack shop) they usually will have a selection of second hand saddles at reasonable money and would come and fit it for you. Tbh would you buy and wear a pair of shoes off ebay? I know that alot of the stuff is good but you can not check if the tree is damaged off a picture. Soz not trying to put you off.

at the end of the day every horse is different and trying not to be rude here every bum is different. I LOVE my old synthetic saddle and can spend hours in it,but my friends whine, complain and say its the most uncomfy thing on the planet. TRy lots out, its a big investment, but i do like synthetic saddles probably because i'm LAZY!!!

Gingitsu - you're more thna welcome to come and try my saddle out (although it would potentially mean sitting on sunny :-) ).
I quite like the new Thorowgood saddles - although they're synthetic they really do look and feel like leather and the panels are extremely soft for the horse.

Wait till you get her hun. You need to see what she is really like under all that fur
And she is unfit at the moment, so will change shape big time in quite a short space of time.
Not a fan of synthetics m'self, but maybe do in the very short term untill she has muscled up, but its all money that you cant use on a good saddle.
